The geological and climatic conditions and water quality environment of our plantation guarantee the quality of ginkgo leaves.

 

Xiaogan City has a subtropical continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, warmth and humidity, and sufficient sunlight. The dominant wind direction throughout the year is southeasterly, and the average annual temperature is between 15.5 and 16.5°C. The average winter temperature (January) is 2-4°C, and the average summer temperature (July) is 28-29°C. The average daily temperature in Xiaogan City is no less than 10℃. The annual sunshine hours range from 2020 to 2190 hours. The annual rainfall is 1040-1230 mm, with 70% of the rainfall concentrated from April to September.

 

Dawu County, Xiaogan City is located in the northeastern part of Hubei Province, at the southern foot of the western end of the Dabie Mountains, spanning the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River basins. It has four distinct seasons, with an annual average temperature of 14.9-15.7℃, precipitation between 1049-1170 mm, and a frost-free period of 227 —242 days. The county is rich in mountain resources and forest resources. The forest area reaches 1.757 million acres, and the forest coverage rate is 52.58%. ‌

 

The water quality status of surface water sections: The annual average water quality of the four assessment sections of Yujiapo of Huanhe River, Dawuhekou of Yishui River, Zhidian, and Xuanhua Beigang section of Zhugan River in our county is by Category III of GB3838-2002 "Surface Water Environmental Quality Standard" Standard evaluation shows that the water quality compliance rate of Zhugan River in Xuanhua Beigang is 100%, which is the same as last year’s 100%. The annual average water quality of other local sections is evaluated according to the Class III standard of GB3838-2002 "Surface Water Environmental Quality Standard", and the water quality compliance rate is 95%.
